That is a very nice compliment and I thank you but in reality I am really no more than a grunt with a shovel.

Happy Thought of The Day:
Stay safe and healthy my friends. If you're at home, enjoy quality time with family and as always, stay strong and make sure you smile....I'll be working a rotating shift at work; 2 days a week and the rest from home. Nice, extra workout time....

It's a bitter sweet one, but avatar dog gets another couple of days to live. Just a week ago my wife found a lump next to his anus. We made an appointment with the vet for this afternoon. On Friday it bust through the skin and was much larger so Saturday we called an scheduled euthanasia for the old guy, he's 11 and a half. It was for today but just an hour before we were to leave a huge thunderstorm developed over our house. Pretty much only here and maybe our nearest neighbor a mile away. We quickly got half an inch and the wash at the highway was flooded. We rescheduled for Wednesday. He not suffering but it does seem to be pressing on his left leg nerve. I don't want to put him through surgery that he might not survive anyway and is too old to recover from. And I don't want to wait until he is suffering.
We've had 3 Akitas in 35 years. The first had the same problem at 10 and had to be put down. The second was 13 and got bloat. She was too old for surgery. So, since the average life span for Akitas is 10 years, we've done pretty well.

Prayers, Pat. Thanks for sharing; you made me think of my Siberians and that's a happy thing.

Thinking of you during this time Pat.
Just put down my furry friend of nearly 13 years last week.
It’s never easy as they give so much - the love that they give is a happy thought.
Peace.

Oh gee Pat, always hard because a pet is like your "fur kid" and it's devastating when we have to make these types of decisions. My life would be turned upside down if I had to do that. My cat has been my best friend, my comfort and my solitude in my life after my divorce last year. I'd be totally lost...best wishes and my prayers to you and your family.

My condolences. Our furry friends never live long enough, but they sure do make life richer while they're with us.

Life is Good
My Hump Day Safe Space
I finally purchased a bottle of Horse Soldier’s barrel strength bourbon. I didn’t know until a couple of weeks ago you can order from the distillery.
This is a very fine sipping whiskey.
Also in the picture are a couple of Bill Harsey’s Lonewolf designs, a T2 & D2, for those that know.
I B Happy 😍
If you are so inclined

I'm not smart - but for some reason they can't ship to GA or NC

I thought the same here in NOVA. In fact, I didn't think SHB was distributed in NOVA, but my daughter spotted it at the ABC. I was about to set-up a curb-side order and decided to check the factory, SUPRISE.
The factory was $13 less w/free shipping
