PS Knife Scales?

Has anyone put scales on the PS kife?

While reading one of the knife fora, I found a thread where a couple guys have tried. These are personal efforts not commercial.

I like the wood, but not the covered thong holes.
I like the micarta scalloped ones for the area they cover and the grip surface.

Having my PS with the same scales as my Yarborough would look nice.

Also found a fellow that put stag scales on his.

As an old geek,, I use "Picture Publisher", a WIN 3.0 software package that stopped production in 1998.. I can emulate WIN 3.0 on a dual-boot system with WIN XP & WIN 10 :]

I masked out the handle from the Yarborough, copied and overlaid it on the PS knife, then sized it down to fit. Not my best work..

What startled me and is apparent now that I tried the overlay, is that the PS is close to being a mini-Yarborough in shape. The upper tang/hilt is not as pronounced, but the contour of the lower tang/hilt is very close, as is the blade profile.

Man, I thought you made a real handle.

Put one on and I think a person would need a new sheath.

The one thread I read, the guy said the scales were thin enough to use the factory kydex sheath,,

BUTT I agree, kinda think that something like the one Bill puts on his trout knife would look great..
