Not just bombed it, CLUSTER bombed it.
EOD is probably busy right now.

That can't be. Aren't cluster bombs outlawed? I'm sure our administration is preparing a vigorous (choose one) (denial) (apology) (Russian reset) (withdrawal). Pink font is not my strong suit.

The strike has increased the distrust between U.S. and American forces in Syria. According to the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. didn’t want to give Russia any more information than they had to

Perhaps they heard that the IOC was meeting there.

Please don't mention her name and Thai food together in the same sentence.

I wish we mount a massive/covert/elaborate IO against Russia...but the enemy of my enemy of my enemies... huh?
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-37507207
snippets from the article:
"But it is US-Russia relations that have been most profoundly influenced by Moscow's intervention in Syria.
At one level, Syria can be added to Ukraine as a dossier where the US and Russia are failing to find common ground.
But Russia's military role ensured that the Assad leadership was not going to be removed from the chessboard.
This made Washington revise its own approach and pursue what has largely proved an illusory effort, to develop some kind of partnership with Russia.
The United States was compelled not just to deal with Russia as a diplomatic equal but also to shift its own stance towards the Assad government to one - that for all the obfuscation - falls well short of its long-time insistence that President Assad had to go, as the essential pre-condition for any negotiated settlement."
"Russian information operations, which insist upon presenting their Syrian campaign as a struggle for civilisation against terrorism, may convince few but pro-Russian trolls.
They do, though, further complicate a story that is already so complex that many in the West, sceptical about their own governments' records, seem unwilling to get excited about what Russia is up to.
The importance of information operations was most clearly illustrated by the extraordinary concert mounted in the ruins of Palmyra after its recapture from so-called Islamic State (IS) by Syrian forces.
This, though, may have been directed as much at public consumption in Russia as at audiences abroad. "
"By its own standards, Russia's intervention in Syria has been a success on several levels.
The real question is whether this situation can last."

Russia: Mossad, other foreign agents killed in Aleppo strike
"In addition to the Mossad agents, the Russian report claimed, military officials from the United States, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Turkey — virtually every country hated by Iran, Syria and Russia — were killed in the strike, according to “battlefield sources.”

It appears to me we are being told how to fight our war on terror. And being mocked as little wimps at the same time! Guess they know how weak kneed the commander in chief of this country is right now (the title didn't deserve capitalization).

Russian Intent
IMHO I think that Russia has never given up on recovering their former client states. They have bided their time, acquiring new technology and developing techniques to fit the grand scheme. I think their new game plan is to repeat their success in Ukraine and Georgia. To use their spetznaz and other specialists, cross the border grabbing essential facilities and a small edge of the country, claiming it is Russian speaking and ethnically homogenous.
It is the Hitler plan with modification. The will chip away as long as there is no interference by NATO. They will use computer equipment and elint to support the effort. They have done it twice without any pushback, why would they stop?
There are any number of scenarios that flow the above premise. Just sayin
