Fisher House, Dover AFB, DE

A short news note in the January 2011 issue of "Air Force" reports completion of "Fisher House for Families of the Fallen open at Dover AFB, Del. Nov 10. Air Force Secretary Michael B. Donley and Chief of Staff Gen. Norton A. Schwartz were on hand to dedicate the 8,462 square-foot facility, which is the first to provide short-term lodging and comfort to families awaiting arrival at Dover of loved ones fallen in combat".

This took a long time to happen, and is about time IMHO. Let us pray that there is little need for this facility in the days and years to come.

I hate the reason for it...but I'm glad to see this has been accomplished. The families deserve it, at the very least.
