MCM Metal "Conditioner"
Link
Mr. Harsey,
You ever heard of this stuff? I was given two 1 oz bottles of it and I was thinking about using it on my knives.

This is the first I've heard of this.
It sounds so good I'll try it on my knives second.

NDD,
Do they say what's in it?
That would give me a major clue on how it works.

LOL "second"?
The bottle probably has the ingredients, but it's so small I can't read it. May be on the website.

I'll look at the website again, didn't find it the first time.
Does it turn into a dry film after application?

I just requested the MSDS info. That will tell what is really in it!!
This stuff seems to make similar claims to Militec.

Well that's no fun at all! Where's your sense of adventure with Mr. Harsey taking all the risk?

a sales rep for this shit came to the gun store once when I was still there. Made some impressive claims and handed out some samples, I think I put it on my glock for awhile, but didn't really notice any difference, I mean hell, the damn thing works fine whether you clean it or not, and whether you lube it with Castrol Syntec or super wombat Spotted Owl residue or if you leave it dry. I guess I am saying that since this was presented to me by a "snake oil salesman" who was also hocking the "50 GI" handgun cartridge, I pretty much wrote it off from the start. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but thats my experience with the product.
Good times,
Blake

Bill,
I put a couple of drops on the pivot of my SMF yesterday - it's still liquid - no dry film.

I would like to see this question answered also. I've read that it contributes to the metal breaking down over time (which doesn't really make any sense).
I just bought a brand new Sig 220 this weekend and picked up some Militec at lunch today. I was planning on spending a pleasant couple of hours this evening treating my new acquisition.
