Unless they're sticking people in the pons, the fatalities must be hypovolemic shock mostly. I wonder what's the EMS response time in the area, the BLS training of the local, and apathy level...also how many bothered to fight back. Sticks, stones, umbrella...anything to create distance.
I've seen similar scene in a certain 3rd world country, one man whacking another man's skull and you could see layers dangling, while everybody standing around including the police.
I wonder how the scenario would unfold here. The bastards were several, moving frantically, and whacking indiscriminately in a crowded area. I don't think the average CCW person can effectively respond
