My first Group was 10th Group, but I had more fun in 1st Grp and 7th Grp. Got a bit more time in 7th so claimed that as home. Hard to say though as I also enjoyed Thailand with 1st/46th.
Guess I'm just a fickle whore.

I'm currently making my home in 1/3. Gotta say, it's a pretty good assignment and glad that I was smart to call my branch manager for a support job in a group.

Very hard to say
I was a very young guy in 1st group but was exposed to the best Mentoring available. I was the only Engineer on a ten man team (they were all redesigned to ten for a while) they took one engineer and one weapons man. So as a new out of the box engineer I was required by an exceptional Team Sgt. Walter McBroom to preform at a very professional level. He made me make myself an excellent Demo guy. That was what formed me and allowed me to be the Team Sgt I could be proud of. In retrospect it was my first home and set the standard. I absolutely loved all of the qroups. All did the same things in different parts of the world, with men by who I consider heros and brothers all.
So of the groups I was in I rate them a follows: 1st group my home. then 10th, 7th, and 5th. (I was also at DET-A Berlin and SWUFO Key West) both briar patch assignments but no home. Blitz

Grew up in 5th, but have to call 20th home because of all the years I spent there. Still carry my 5th Group coin though.

Home for me was the 46th Co. My first A-Team was in the 5th in 1971. Then 2 years with the 46th Co. I had orders for RVN but those were changed the day before we were to leave. We called Mrs. A and she got us into the 46th. I spent another year in the 12th Group at Fort MacArthur but the 46th is home.

Ich anspruch die zehnte Gruppe nach Hause
I have to say tenth is where my time thus far was spent operationally. Twice in B 1-10 and once in C 1-10. I happen to have a german frau which allowed me the opportunity to speak german well enough not to go to language school, and be fortunate enough at the time to go to a team of well trained individuals who brought me up in the ways of the cold weather warrior. Now I learn from Rick how to be ABS

Bro, you learned that one all on your own. Either that or you have been talking to Guy.
All night with students is rough on your grammer too.
