Or as the candidate of a new political party that finally breaks free of the Democrat-Republican party. It's happened before in our history, no reason it can't happen again. It's going to take Republicans and Democrats with the moral fortitude to recognize that both of the existing parties are broken and not operating in the best interests of the people. It's going to take a leader who can unite the people that vote both parties who also recognize that the existing parties are broken. Americans who recognize that we stand on the brink of losing the country and want to reverse the direction.

I don't see the fall of either party, there are too many factions within each. Influence rises and falls Look at the Dems. The Clinton machine was running strong until BO pushed them aside and ran straight for the left. BO's roots didn't take and the Klinton machine was owed for the slight.
I'm afraid we may see the same scenario with Trump. After Trump, the GOP establishment will put forth their own slighted candidate (something resembling a Bush or other such type) and that person will be tarred and feathered in 7 years, by the latest Dem rock star (ala sparkle farts)
IMHO a new party will not gain enough traction to put forth a viable candidate. The tea party had tons of momentum and ended being an obstructionist coalition. Nothing against their philosophy, they just didn't have the numbers to control the platform.

Same here. I was disgusted with them back about 20 years ago when I became aware that they were spaghetti-spined, limp-wristed, skinny-jeans wearing, top-knot sporting, douche-canoes who walk poodles.
I'd like to slap the chiklets out of Mitch McConnel's mouth.

When discussing the pimps and whore that make up our government the only real way to tell who is who is to take a gander at what kind of energy industry they take most of their bribes from...
democrats pander to the solar industry
republicans pander to coal miners
beyond that - it takes a very sharp eye to tell the difference between a professional democrat and a professional republican

That is right where they want it to be. Those "sharp eyes" are dwindling at a rate that is hard to keep up with. The government wants "their" public to be disengaged puppets who need to be told what they want and how they want to get it. A bunch of children with their hands out waiting for mom and pop government to supply their every need -- and thought.
Those of us who actually pay attention and think for ourselves are the ones that are labeled with all the negative titles. So be it....

Congratulations to President-elect Biden. I have prayed for our President most of my adult life. I will be praying for you and your success. Now is the time to heal deep wounds. Many are counting on you to lead the way.

Jeb can eat a bag of dicks. Why won't Jeb just go back to his special-ed camp and quietly die?

In three years the R's will put forth the same old "It's my turn" list of candidates for President.
Mittens will be one of them along with "little hands", another branch off the Bush shrub and a few more.

I'll vote for Kanye before I'll vote for ANY never-Trump republican in the next election. I consider their behavior no less than betrayal. These are the same class of politicians that DEMANDED a pledge that the candidates would support the eventual nominee...
...only to take their toy and throw a tantrum when they didn't get their way
There is only one color of betrayal - no shades of gray - the republican party that I grew up with, is dead to me.

Well. I worked at the polls this election. At our site there were 13 Presidential candidates. Biden was first on the voting machines, Trump was second on the SECOND page. Tally; 373 votes for Trump, 108 for Biden, 2 for Kanye West, then one or two for all the others.
I agree there are NO shades of gray with the republicans. I am afraid we have lost the Republic.
