Rations For A British Officer????

I was always happy with a couple cans of fruit, date pudding, meat slices, and a LRRP chili,,

But after watching this video, I think we were shorted??

Brit's and French had some great rations as I remember! Someone send me a case of MRE's and I'll do an American Military Rations Video.....

Our local NZ ration packs just started including Whittakers chocolate bars.

Some of the best off the shelf chocolate in the world I reckon.

With the sharp increase in joint training in recent years the buzz down here is that some of the US MRE main meals and included items are very well regarded(some snacks, heater packs and mini tobasco sauce bottles).

You guys appear to have HEAPS of main meal variety, our main meals are generally pretty good(unpopular main meals are taken out of menu with reasonable speed), but far more limited in variety.

Most Americans would not like the "yeast extract" much that are found in ours…..it's a bit of an acquired taste. Dogs seem to universally like it since it smells like ass.

Otherwise known as marmite if you're from a civilised country or vegemite if you're an uncivilised heathen.

My daughter married an Ozzie, good kid, BUT he has converted both her and my G-Son to eating the stuff..

He lost some points, on my score board..

That stuff's NASTY, although my kids and dog can't get enough of it.

Although I have to admit when really cold, wet, and hungry it only tastes HALF as horrible, but still smells the same.

Funny thing about Spam down here.

A big supermarket retailer started stocking it a few years ago and it wasn't moving.

So they started discounting, then deep discounting it. And since it has a shelf life of half of forever......

I think it's safe to say we are the largest holder of Turkey Spam on the bottom half of the planet.

The Turkey Spam ain't half bad.....the other varieties......yeah....not so much.
