You know...the left might just be on to something...making up words and screwing with definitions by fiat can be momentarily satisfying...
Henceforth, the excretory opening at the lower end of my alimentary canal...shall be called...

Language is not only how we communicate with each other, but how we learn and communicate with ourselves.
I had a girlfriend that had a neighbor that was French born but a naturalized American citizen. He was an interpreter at the French Consulate in L.A. He spoke 3 languages: French, English, and Spanish. He told us that he spoke in English, thought in French, and dreamed in Spanish.
Point being, in our heads, we talk to ourselves (think) in our primary language. If they change the words that we learned to think with, they can change the way we think and what we think.
Example: We had a Department of War from our founding until 1949 when they changed it to the Department of Defense. How did that change they way people think?

The thought police would be all over you Pat. How insensitive to people's genders and nationalities you are!
All this language changing, words appearing and disappearing from day to day. Who the #$@* knows what to call who or how to say anything anymore. Makes me wonder if the ultimate goal isn't necessarily a PC society and a greatly restructured language, but of such confusion as to whats proper that the result is...
silence.

I acknowledge and accept your right to be offended as long as you acknowledge and accept my right to not give a fuck!

I don't give a fuck if they acknowledge and accept my right not to give a fuck.

But, in fairness to all possible gender identities, I will simply refer to the author as "it."

Be careful Sir, the "It's" might just find that offensive.

Identifying certain races, genders and identities as 'It' can get you trip to court for EEOC violations. But if 'IT' is white, it is
alright.

In a section of the syllabus for her “Women & Popular Culture” course, Professor Selena Lester Breikss warned that the “use of racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, classist or generally offensive language in class or submission of such material will not be tolerated” — and clarified that “this includes [phrases such as] ‘The Man’” and “referring to women/men as females or males.” “If I see it or hear it, I will correct it in class since it can be a learning moment for many students,” she said in the syllabus. “Repeated use of oppressive and hateful language will be handled accordingly — including but not limited to removal from the class without attendance or participation points, failure of the assignment, and — in extreme cases — failure for the semester,” she continued.

I would have thought that modern liberalism says the answer is "However many fingers we tell you there are..."
Now here's your free sh*t and squirrel! or some other straw man distraction or ad hominem attack deflection...
