You have a great point there, I feel the same. I'm just leary of what a 3d party would or wouldn't do to help the dems by taking away votes.
If Trump has a very wide lead over the rest of the so called Republicans, he/we may be able to pull enough over...one can hope.
But if ya read the article that was posted on why they are scared...spot on...IMHO anyway

It is so refreshing to see someone in power admit that there is a game, and be proud of playing it well.

On top of that, I have much more confidence in Trump's ability to learn the nuclear triad than I do establishment politicians learning how to govern in the citizens' interest rather than their own. I have no confidence that anyone from the inside will strive for any meaningful change.

OK, Cruz just picked up some cool points with me. The video embedded in the attached article is about a minute and a half.

Civilians do not need to know about any military weapons systems, that is what a military is for. Civilians/ Commander and Chief gives us orders/missions and we execute.
Some are too stupid to realize how that works.

It's early, but this primary season appears to have potential so long as we don't get another RINO as nominee.

Links to two more articles I found rather interesting today.
The first is from Victor Davis Hanson, who I find to be rather intelligent. His article discusses some of the issues that Trump has been bringing to the table, and whether his star will continue to shine.

The second article is from a guy who used to be a state legislator. It discusses what Joe Biden is waiting for. Pretty interesting and quick read.

I disagree. Ted Cruz was elected Senator of Texas in 2012, his first elected office. He won through support of the Tea Party and those disgusted by politics as usual. He defeated establishment republicans to win the Republican nomination. After three years in the Senate, he is one of the primary constitutional conservatives attacking the establishment and doesn't appear to be wavering.
