Absolutely, but we aren't the Russians, and even their ruthless ROE didn't win it for them.

Much easier to do when you're not attempting to overthrow/occupy the country.

And.....

I was one of the guys that assisted in stopping the Russians in A-Stan.

That will never happen again.

I'd go a step or three farther. If I were Sheriff I'd tell everyone in my county with a CCW to prepare for the worst and tell my Deputies that open carry is legal and not to harass but be vigilant against those with a threatening posture to be engaged with in peaceful conversation. If PC exists do what's right.

Exactly. Plus the Russians may have taken a lesson or two from that conflict and in Chechnya both internal leadership lessons as well as lessons out on the battlefield.

Thanks to the WA State Constitution it is easy to get a CCW even here on the ultra liberal Wet Side. BTW, there is a former 1st SFG team daddy working for the King County SO.

True dat!

Me and "Baz" went one afternoon during lunch. We walk in wearing our uniforms, they take us to the front of the line, take our thumbprint and a few minutes later we had our permits.

Not going to happen in most other states to include AZ.

I didn't embrace him, none of my colleagues embraced him. It was "your guys" that did more than the Soviets and Cubans to screw us over remember.

As for winning the cold war? I dunno. When I look at the leaders of the Western world today they sure embraced the subversive Soviet doctrines of the cold war and are vigorously implementing them. We might be screwed but the rest of the world is racing to catch up.

Announce that after the next attack, Mecca will be destroyed and then do it.

Will be interesting to see how they deal with Allah's will after that happens.

The first time I did it at the Pierce County courthouse many moons ago it was that fast. Now it takes a couple of weeks to get it in the mail.

It was Baz who I went with to the AZ-OR-UT CCW class a couple of years back.
