I could chug both bottles and it would only make my liver itch.

Nah, Tequila is for chugging...It has made my liver itch a time or two as well. This stuff is for enjoying with red meat fresh off the grill.

I'm not entirely sure of the price myself, we bought these as "futures", multiple case lots, many years ago. So we did not pay what they would bring at their current market value.

And since we have more than we can ever consume we are dragging them out and enjoying them. I think we decanted three Robert Parker 100 point wines for my birthday.

I was thinking something similar, only more along the lines of an amuse-bouche.

Done ever research the current price or those wines. The current vintage is at least a mortgage payment per case.

About 10 years ago, I was at Costco. They had a Rothschild Mouton Cadet Medoc for $6.99 a bottle. vintage 1995. I tasted it at home, went back to Costco and bought the last 10 cases. I went to another Costco and bought 12 more cases of '95 and '97. I drank the last bottle a couple of years ago. The best wine I have ever drank, especially with Prime Rib or steak...

I have bought a few wine futures. The last one I am buying was double magnums of a secopnd growth for two grand daughters 21st b-day. They are 7 now and the damn bottles (if you can find double magnums) is over $2000 and it is a SECOND Growth. Drink all of those wines you bought in good health. Enjoy them because very few people can apreciate that quality wine.

More wine than we can consume (approx 6000 btls), and we aren't going to sell it so we'll just drink it.
