There has been a surge in patients wanting to reverse their transgender surgery, according to a leading doctor in Serbia, the global hub of transgender corrective surgery.
Dr Miroslav Djordjevic, a urologist in Belgrade, has been treating patients from all over the world for about 10 years.
His clinic in the capital of a country that is openly hostile to LGBT groups, became an unlikely haven for transgender patiets.
But now, Dr Djordjevic has told The Telegraph that he is seeing an increase in the number of patients seeking reversal surgery.
He warns the majority of people exploring reversals did not receive sufficient psychiatric screening before undergoing the procedure - and he urges the medical community not to antagonize people that change their mind.

With transgenderism now an option, why get mutilated at all? Just decide from day to day on which side of the fence you want to be. All of the benefits, none of the expense.
On the bright side, the surgery is deductible. At least til the new tax framework becomes law.

Ben Shapiro commented on this once and stated that people who are transgender suffer from a suicide rate of 40% and the only time such high rates of suicide has ever been seen was during WWII - when the Jewish community refused to go with the Nazis. Ben also stated that research has proven that even with surgical procedures, the rate of suicide among such people remained just as high.
Now I have no idea how Mr. Shapiro is regarded in America, but from what I have watched of him, that man knows his facts. I wish more people would base their opinions on facts rather than their emotions so that the correct decisions can be made and problems can be solved.

IMHO Doctors that perform sex change surgery violate their Hippocratic oath. Transgender is codified in the DSM as a mental health disorder. At the behest of a mentally ill patient they are surgically disfiguring their patients. No doctor would surgically remove an arm from a mentally ill patient just because they wanted it removed. It's absurd.

Are you sure you want to know?
To change male genitalia to female genitalia, an incision is made into the scrotum. The flap of skin is pulled back, and the testes are removed. The skin is stripped from the penis but left attached, and a shorter urethra is cut. All but a stump of the penis is removed. The excess skin is used to create the labia (external genitalia) and vagina.
