Sheepshead

Caught limits of these great eating fish today. 85 lbs. on the hoof, 26 pounds of fillets.

That is an outstanding catch!

It's always a good thing when they are big enough to fillet because it sure beats the days when scaling them was the norm.

You are so right, they are a pain in the ass to clean. My fishing buddy is an expert with an electric fillet knife and I tell him how good he is all the time. I am a professional beer bitch and back slapper

New Additions

Caught a couple of nice ones this week. An 8 1/2 lb. sheepshead on Friday and two as-yet-identified flat fish weighing 5 lbs. and 4 lbs. on Saturday.

Great catch. I hear the Sheepshead are great eating. The fish on the right are Fluke/ summer flounder. 5 Lbs is a fairly nice size for them.
