It's 3 Headstones
I do not see this as an issue. I could care less about the nazi party and their beliefs. We are not talking about former high ranking nazi's resting in American soil we are talking about 3 soldiers who ended up as POW's and had the good fortune or misfortune to have died here while being held in captivity during WWII. They were soldiers they were German soldiers. Until some offended individual raised the alarm there was no issue. There is nothing wrong with being offended by the symbol, I just do not see the need to remove the stone, they were soldiers and they died for their cause.

Nazi headstones will be removed from US veterans cemeteries, VA leaders say
https://www.militarytimes.com/news/p...a-leaders-say/
How long before there is an issue raised concerning the headstones of Confederate soldiers here in the U.S.? It says C.S.A. right on the stones and God knows that all remnants of the Confederacy must purged due to their offensive nature.
This man too was a soldier and he fought and he died for his beliefs, may he continue to Rest In Peace. CSA.jpg

Headstones !
The VA has a lot more pressing issues than the markings on the headstones in one of the VA cemetery's . This is a BS issue and should not divert resources to appease the hurt feelings of those offended by looking at the headstones.

I'm sure the VA wouldn't mind when other countries decide to remove American headstones from their cemeteries...
Sadly, I respect the sacrifices made by fallen warriors that may have been our enemies than I do for the day to day behavior of some of my own countrymen.
Just my two cents - but America showing respect for fallen enemy soldiers is actually PROOF that "we" are the good guys.

And it is hard to battle ignorance, stupidity and blind party obedience.
The 54th Massachusetts Monument was vandalized in Boston recently.....
Does anyone recall who the 54th Mass were?

Wasn't the 54th a all black unit?

The unit was commanded in combat by none other than Ferris Bueller in his prime.

I weep for our country. As far as the 54th Mass. monument, they were obviously ignorant of its symbolism, does not say much for them does it.

And that too.
Not the first time it had been vandalized...fortunately from what I can see the plywood that had been erected to do repairs was the primary target of the geniuses

There are several civilian orgs and the DOD that deals with locating, recovering, and returning war dead to their families for proper internment.
I amazed that these individuals have not been sent home??
I do not support the desecration of the graves to satisfy some A$$Ho SJW.

I watched Glory over Memorial Day weekend. When I saw the movie trailers when it came out, I thought that Broderick in the role of COL Shaw was ludicrous. But, when I looked up the 54th Massachusetts in our encyclopedia (remember those?), Broderick was almost the spitting image of Shaw.

One article I read stated that these bodies had not been claimed by their families at the end of the war.

They were buried and the headstones carved by the people they fought against.
I think we should respect those who honored them; and leave the headstones alone.

If someone doesn't like them they don't have to look at them!

Honor? The great majority of people in this country no longer even knows what that means. The only honor they care about is whether their discount coupons are honored.
