SC Shrimp Season

Recreational shrimping begins tomorrow at noon. I'm hoping our cold winter didn't kill too many and this year is as good as 2010.

Damn! Those look awesome! It will be a while until I can have shrimp like that and I'll have to buy them. Best of luck to you.

SWEET!

I use to have an uncle in SC that had one of those HUGE shrimp boats with the nets. He has long since passed but man we would get some HUGE shrimp from him when we came to visit.

When I was a kid, we'd put the small ( 18') outboard in and run the coastal Gulf down around Freeport, Texas and we'd catch 4-8 count that would seriously hurt'ya when you handled them w/o heavy gloves!!!

Take care.

Limit

Had a great day and got a nice limit (48 quart cooler full). It ends up being 40 lbs with heads off. They are great to fry, boil or grill. Sizes range from med to large and a few pounds of jumbos each trip. The season is 60 days and I usually go about 15 times.
