What Group Do You Claim As Home?

Many QPs have served in multiple Groups, but I am told that your heart usually stays with one of them. So let's see the current distribution of QPs on the site.

I had to use "Other." I feel like the 12th SFGA was my home, because that is where I spent the most time.

I had to use "OTHER" also. Even though SOG wasn't a group my heart will always be there.

Wouldn't that be the 5th? We wore their flash and they handled all of our admin.

They requested we wear berets at the STMP ceremony. I am wearing a 5th Flash as the most appropriate.

I voted 10th since that is where I got all of my training which made a real SF soldier out of me.

I voted 10th also, that was my first Grp, and where I did my most growing up, even though I have spent more time in 3rd. Hell I've almost spent more time in Afghanistan then time in 10th

Does support count? I was in 2nd Bn of 1st SF Group. I was in the MI Detachment. The great thing is that the BEST battalion commander and the BEST CSM that I have ever served under were there. LTC Firth and CSM Pennington (Wardog). That was one of the best assignments of my career.

I started in the 6th and ended in the 10th but feel that I was most effective in the 5th. I think I have a stronger bond with those I served in combat than in readiness training. Had I stayed in for a few more years and remained in the 10th, maybe I would change my opinion.

Still, I am proud to have been in all three.

Had to pick 5th even though I hated the AO and really enjoyed Europe when I was in 1-10th . I started my SF career there and went to the Gulf War with them so I'm kinda in the same boat as SFRADIOMAN.

1st Grp, spent time in all three Bns. Interesting to note that nobody has yet to claim 3rd Grp .

Except for 2 years in SWC, all my time has been in 10th, 5 years in 2nd Bn, 6 years in 1st Bn.
