It's not always easy to tell from a picture, but it looks like:

Navy Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Battle E

Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal

Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, GWOT Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon

United Nations Medal, Rifleman Ribbon, Pistol Shot Ribbon

Funny, the Mama-san was glad to see us, but dint unnerstan what all the hub-bub was about, and dint know why SHE hadta buy the drinks at the "Grand Opening".

For you FOGs there before me, this was Hazel's down the road from the Leprosorium. Home to "Helen" and "Tiger", among other "ladies".

Mike Shepard

Which one is he? We were friends in the 1990s, so I don't recognize him.

Thank you for sharing the pics Toby. I believe Reaper and I know Virgil Paulk. He was SGM of the company next door to ours.

Yeah, doesn't surprise me at all. Most of us were still around in the late 80s/early 90s at least!!!

Even tho I ended my career ignominiously as a staff puke at Ft Sam, I was able to see comtemporaries come thru, as the 18D course was still being conducted in the 600 area of Ft Sam. Such luminaries as Walt Hetzler, Ken McMullen, John T and numerous others came thru as Guest Speakers, visitors, and as fathers of students!! And no less an SF Medic than Kramer D Regan was the Academy of Health Sciences CSM, the number 2 Medic in the whole Army.

And of course LTC (formerly SFC) Rocky Farr, MD, was the Course Director.

Somma the noobs oughtta do a Google on somma those names!!!!!
