Heros and Legends

Heed all new comers:
These are the men both the ones who have posted and the ones whose pictures are portrayed, that we as citizens should all strive to become. These are true Heroes and Legends!

I feel truly honored to be able to converse with men of your stature. Thank you.

Toby you should be proud. and believe me buddy I was using the word gentleman loosely when referring to you........I happen to know you and consider you a brother in arms and a friend. I do agreee with everyone about COL. Bad Bob Howard had the privilge of workinng for him, call him Boss and friend. He 's always been harder than woodpecker lips.

In the left Pic, the Brother in the Center is Melvin Hill and the one on the end is Millard Moye'. They both made HALO Insertions into North Vietnam, Hill on the first ever Combat Halo Jump and Moye' on the only totally successful one !!! Melvin is in his 60s and still charges hard !!!!

Moye' was also a student in One-Zero School with me and he vividly remembered the "Brightlight" that I posted the AAR from in the Briefback Forum . This last SOAR, was the first time I had seen him since RVN !!

I remember Bob being taller than I and weighing about 30 - 50 pounds more. In old age I seem to have gained the weight he lost.

Cecil Ames was a SGM in Training Group when I had Demo Committee.

COL Moroney probably remembers him.

Good man!

I too, wondered about the indig.

Martin metioned the last SOG Halo mission. The first pic shows Chuck Clayton, RT California, Mike Bentley, RT Arizona, and Emmitt Dover, RT Hawaii. Bentley was a member of that four man team.

The next pic shows an unknown LT(Martin, a lil hep!!), CPT Jim Storter, and 1SG Billy Greenwood. Storter was the TL on that mission, and the one with the least amount of FF experience.
