My guess is that the Reaper is/was not a CW2 (Warrant Officer).

Gssh-darnit! I knew there was a reason (via PM) that TR said I should guess away!!!
Thank You Team Sergeant, for teaching me about that little detail.

Observations

A few things about the picture:

M16’s and not M-4’s.

No optics on weapons.

All locked and loaded, no blank adapters.

Drive on rags on head and neck

Ammo pouches full.

Live grenades on ammo pouches.

Map in background is military, and very large area of operations/responsibly

American Flag on right shoulder

A cot next to the Chief and an open box of MRE’s next to the Big guy on the right

SF “Tabsâ€

Boots scuffed up

Everything I’ve mentioned either tells a timeline or a story/location in itself.

TS

BTW, I was not there, just observations.

This going to be one of those lessons where all of the answers are present but I am not yet attuned/focused enough to see the answers.

Would have to be late 80s with A2s and no optics. My WAG would be Team Sergeant, bottom right kneeling.

edit to add another WAG, this is probably 1989, Just Cause?

While some things you should have caught, (M16's vice M-4's) other things I would not expect a non QP to pick up on, American Flag on shoulder, a military cot next to Chief, and drive on rags. They tell me things about the men in the photo you would not understand unless you have spent time on an A-Team.

LOL - How many of them are wearing the flags?

The ceiling condition looks recent to me.

S.W.A.G Info

M16A2 not A1's

Jungle boots are Panama sole'd

Standard BDU's not ERDL's (or whatever they were called)

1 LBV

Drive on Rags

America Flags in full color

1 Bianchi holster

This isn't 1974 what the hell was I thinking.

I'm thinking right around the Operation Just Cause?

Let me tell you about the ceiling….

It’s not a US facility, why, because no SF SGM would let Team Room look like that. (missing ceiling tiles) It’s a temp ISOFAC as told by the cot, maps, MRE’s and the condition of the ceiling.

The number of US Flags does not matter, because there is ONE tells me a story.

Nothing you "asked" if they were in an ISOFAC.

That ISOFAC is in a hostile foreign country, how can I tell this?
