What is the source for the art??

Google draws a blank and the Latin does not translate cleanly..

"magister obvius ornamentum bellum"
access to the decoration of the war
instructor on the way weapons war

"magister obvious ornamentum bellum"
Master of the obvious decoration of the war

Thus its a 18B weapons SGTs course student T-shirt. I think they changed the design from this style now.

I'll ask them how you can get one, if they can't mail one out. I get you the cost and your address and send you one. Let you know something today.

The logo fitting for me would have a swollen "M-1 Thumb" in there somewhere!

I know this is an old thread but if anyone is still interested I can probably get some t-shirts or hats. I teach heavy weapons at the 18B Committee and that is the logo on our shirts. The students wear the shirt as part of their PT uniform and we wear them as part of the instructor uniform. We recently switched from black shirts to green ones so if we have to go onto the main post we don't have to take it off and we can just put our tops on. Think the shirts and hats are 15$, not sure of that number though.

I'd be interested. I suspect a bunch of folks would as well. Might be a good venue to get some funds into the Teamroom bar.

Even though this is a Bravo forum, it'd be cool if you knew folks in the other committees with similar access. There are no current posts like this in the medic forums.

I talked with the guy in charge of the shirts/ hats today. The shirts are 9$ and hats are 15$, I can take pics and post them on here tonight. The shirts are the multi-cam green color and hats are black. If anyone is interested just PM me and we can work out the details.
I think the only other committee that has a MOS specific logo are the medics but since they are in a different battalion I have little to no contact with them. The E's and C's just wear a battalion t-shirt and don't have any MOS specific type of logo.

It will say "magister obvius ornamentum bellum" instead of instructor though. I still can't get a straight answer from the 4 civilians that have worked there forever, they just smiled when I asked them what that saying means. The 18B Committee was dedicated and re-named to the MSG Yost Weapons Training Facility about 2 years ago as well. In honor of MSG Yost who at one point was a Senior Instrucor at the Committee.
I have that logo saved on a jpg that I send to anyone interested. That way y'all can just take that to a print shop/ engraver.
