South African MGL Mark 1 Grenade Launcher

Anyone have an Armorers manual for this weapon? Every Base I show up at the Colombians bring out 2-3 of these that is frozen up and wont rotate. I have zero exp with this weapon. Any hints, tips ect would be great.

Thanks,

Luke

And all this time I thought NDD was an 18D. Turns out he's an accomplished 18B.

Only info I could find was this,

Quote:
The cylinder is of aluminum and is driven by a spring that is rewound by manually rotating the cylinder during reloading. The firing mechanism is of the double-action type, but is not linked to the cylinder. Cylinder advance is controlled by a gas-operated plunger, which is actuated when a round is fired. A manual release lever is also provided.
Could try an e-mail to Milkor, not sure if they are still in business

Yes I used a hammer on one last week. The problem is that the LBG's are spinning them too much/past the removable stop and binding the coil springs. Thus the 6 shooter is turned into an extra heavy M79 with a forward grip :-(

I've seen them do it too. What you probably need to do is come into town and we'll go down to the school and see if we can found the old dude that fixes them here and get a class. I've got an idea where to look. I'll ask around.

Psywar,

You might try contacting these guys

Sage International

They make the Less Lethal nock-off version of the MGL.

On the Less Lethal version you have to manually spin the cylinder about 6 times in order for it to engage it. I don't know how the MGL works but I know that some guys have had trouble with the springs on the Less Lethal one binding. Maybe they can help you out.
