TQs are too important to accept anecdotal info or classroom theory on. Educate yourself. http://https://watermark.silverchair...7YFxrSEKVpDBfw
Thanks - I learned a lot here.

Hey Brother!

Combat Applications Tourniquet, Gen 7. I’m traveling, so I don’t have the NSN on me but I’ll get that to you Friday sometime.

The NSN on the G7 I have in my range bag is: 6515-01-521-7976

Here's the link to the website which also has the item number (Item #: 30-0001)

I had a former 68W/current EMT-3 and my EMT instructor recommend the "NATO" TQ. From the one he showed, it seems like a quality TQ that can fold up nearly as small as the RAT. Any input?

I like the NATO TQ, but like all TQs it's not perfect.
1. Difficult to place one handed.
2. Not intuitive, ie has a slight learning curve to get it right.
3. Can pinch skin if not properly placed.
Great TQ, but I don't carry as my primary personal TQ, because I want everyone to know how to put one on me (kind of selfish that way). However I carry multiples for me to use. Obivously train your mates in it's use.

The NATO is basically a pre-assembled field expedient TQ, that packs small, is cheaper, and IMOO better than the RATS.

The NATO is the only TQ I have never seen break after multiple uses in training.
