THE MISSION, THE MEN, AND ME

Just got done reading, and re-reading this fascinating book by Pete Blaber.

A great friend gave me this book as it details the mind's need to, " Saturate, Incubate, and Illuminate."

Many good perspectives IMHO, and very well written.

If folks have the time, I highly recommend reading.

Absolutely amazing book. Have read it several times over and kept my head buried in it during my second SFAS attempt. Getting Tree'd by a Chihuahua as well as the minds need to Saturate, Incubate and Illuminate were the defining lessons I found easily applicable to daily obstacles.

The defining principle "When in Doubt, Develop the situation" of John Walker Lindh's infiltration of Al Qaeda story was the precursor to reading A Message to Garcia on this site for me as well.

Too bad about the Gorilla costume though was hoping to read about it in action.

I concur, great book and one I've challenged those that I've mentored to pick up.

Ah, the G costume! Loved that tale...remember him having to cut the story short, but there was a "website?" that could be searched showing that S-type being spotted in Bosnia...then my copy had some pics, b&w, that I think showed the creature...

Regardless, a fascinating tale told with vivid description...could almost taste the sand, and feel the crunch of foliage when he descended upon the "bear" from high up!

My next book in the line of books given to me is, Chosen Soldier, by Dick Couch.

Am extra excited to have it, as the small 5k town I am in currently has an outage of all internet, wifi, cable, and phones! (land-lines). Only reason I am on right now, VERY sporadically, is I am using AT&T...

So, have consulted with those far smarter, and if an ER comes up, I am running to the hwy 24 out front, and making smoke signals...geeze!

Luv it,

Holly
