No trip would have been complete without a visit to Nasty Nick!

Yessir!!
Mr. Harsey worried me, till I remembered that he was a logger, and is immune to falls under 100 feet.

Still, he has the 5.11 gear, and with the vest, that is the guy you have to worry about first.

I'd rather go bear hunting with a switch than mess with any of them - and I'm a bad ass SOB. LOL

Reapers too mean to take a picture of, I tried but the super smart digital camera we had was flashing the electronic message "DANGER! DO NOT TAKE PICTURE!" and automatically shut down.

Okay, I went back out to CMK and at great personal risk, took a pic of the steel fence post Chris Reeve attacked with a Yarborough Knife.
He took a full on chop with it that was very hard (and loud).
As he steped back over by us, I expected to see the edge of the blade chipped, bent, or severely nicked.
It was none of these. The fencepost, as you can see about midway in this picture, did not escape quite as cleanly.
He took a ceramic stone to the blade, and while I am not even sure that it needed it, in less than 30 seconds, had restored the edge to hair-popping perfection. I dragged the edge on my thumbnail and there was no defect or damage to be found.
If I ever get one of these knives to beat up on, I will take requests and push it to the limit, but given this demonstration, I will have to say that I was truly impressed.
Well done, Mr. Reeve and Harsey!
