Best Bar B Q in Town

Ok, so I know this may start a fight but I gotta ask.

Where is the best place to get Bar B Q in the greater Fort Bragg Metroplex?

Personally I've only had Fullers Bar b q. It was decent. But my HH6 has high standards for this particular genre and I'm looking for some good stuff.

For a chain, Smithfield is pretty authentic pit cooked Eastern NC BBQ with the fixins.

If you don't mind the drive, the Pik-N-Pig at the airport in Carthage is, IMHO, worth the drive. Saturday, you can call ahead and they will reserve absolutely killer BBQ pork ribs. Otherwise, they are not on the menu.

You can get serious points w/HH6 (if she likes scenic drives) by taking her to Pik-N-Pig. Check out http://www.pik-n-pig.com/AboutUs.html and http://www.wral.com/news/local/video/6056117/ .

If you want to venture further afield this article mentions other regional notables. http://www.wral.com/lifestyles/travel/blogpost/7191630/

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

Charlotte is not one of my favorite places for BBQ, if I had to recommend one it would be Bill Spoon's, on South Boulevard.

Also McKoy's Smokehouse (forget the address) is good, try their fried squash.

As far as the Fayetteville area is concerned.....My house

Went here last night, two thumbs up. Burnt ends were particularly good.
