Hundreds of Thousands May Lose Internet in July

LINK

Apparently there is a botnet that has infected hundreds of thousands of computers around the world, and the FBI is going to take it down. They have already impounded infected servers, but they realized if they were to just shut the whole thing down, it would disable the Internet access for a whole lot of people. They are going to be shutting it down in July though. They have a website to visit at the bottom of the linked site to see if your computer is infected and if so, what to do about it.

Mine too, but it says that if your ISP is redirecting DNS traffic, then you would have gotten the green page even if you were infected. My ISP I believe does redirect DNS traffic. One good sign though is that it says the botnet disables the updates of protection software, and I have continued getting regular updates for the PC Tools Spyware Doctor that I use.

I also get updates on my Norton Internet Security Software. It also warns me of any intrusion attempts as I do not run mine in silent mode.

What's missing from most of the articles in general circulation, at least to lend some credence, is the FBI's official content devoted to it, along with a decent PDF at one of the links for those into going down that rabbit hole, or who may wish to register themselves with the FBI as a victim of the DNSChanger effort.
