I'm a college student in Texas, looking to enlist after I graduate, with the ultimate goal being a shot at SFAS. I have one question in particular that needs answering, but I'll be doing my research before I resort to posting it.

If anyone has, or knows someone who has, personal experience with MEPS doctors, the medical waiver process, anything of the sort, I need someone to talk to.

Thanks for yall's service, look forward to reading and learning as much as I can from yall.

Gentleman, Let me first thank you for the vast amount of knowledge that you offer up here and for allowing me to visit as a guest for years until finally deciding to become a member.
I first learned of this site when I was initially enlisting and the advice has guided me through six years in the Infantry. I am ready to take my soldiering to the next level and commit to my goal of being selected for Special Forces. I am currently employed at General Dynamics and going to college at night majoring in Business Management.

Hello,

I am a 24 year old male Army Reserve Soldier. My MOS is military police and I'm also a civilian police officer. I am interested in joining one of the National Guard Special Forces units. I have been deployed twice and feel that I just have not done enough to serve my country and want to be a part of the best. I do not plan on posting anything in this forum but rather read everything I can find.

Thanks for the opportunity to learn from your forum.

Guard Entry

Good Day,

I am a college student that has always gone out of my way to help people when no one else wants to. I've done work in search & rescue/disaster relief and have always been at my happiest making a difference in horrible situations. As such, I am training up for a monthly try out with the 19th SFG Guard unit in San Antonio, TX. For the longest I had been looking into US Air Force Pararescue, and even received recommendations for the Air Force Academy...but no other entity, great as they are in their niche, seem to fit what I hunger to do as much as US Army Special Forces.

I've been hanging on mil.com for a long time and have lurked on here from time to time but after Don showed his back side I decided to come to the place that knows who is and isn't who they say they are.

Hello,

I am 24 and currently in my last semester of college for a degree in Global Affairs, B.A.

I leave for basic with an 11x contract (medical waiver, lasek surgery, disqualified me for 18x) on 20120828 bringing me one step closer to my dream of becoming a Special Forces soldier.

I joined this forum a while ago and I have gained invaluable knowledge while looking around and doing research. I apologize for my late introduction.

Hello, my name is Ryan. I am a 24 year old 68W deployed to Afghanistan. I have also been to Iraq as well. I am an NCO and feel that I have one of the best jobs in the Army. I am currently getting ready for SFAS when time between missions allows it. I hope to get into selection shortly after I return home. I have a lot more to learn on my path to becoming an 18D.

Intro -- Ross

Hello all! My name is Ross and am currently in college pursuing a major of International Securities and Conflict Resolution (fancy name for International Relations focusing on wars and the like) and Arabic. I am still unsure of what I am doing in the future. I have been lurking around here for some time and have seen what NOT to do, so hopefully I will avoid some of these shortcomings . I am looking forward to talking to some QP's and maybe getting some advice and more insight in SF world and community. Thanks to the admins who take the time to run this site, and the QP's for giving their wealth of insight and knowledge.

Good day readers, soldiers, and quiet professionals,
I currently just enlisted into the PAARNG as an E-1, 11x into the CO A 1/111th INF. My ship date for OSUT is June 19, 2012 and my primary goal is to get my opportunity to go to selection and the Q course and complete that training to attain the green beret. I joined the military to be part of the best and i cannot wait to get my shot to do just that. Im excited for the road ahead of me and this forum has taught me a lot about what i need to know to be successful at training and to be the best. I appreciate all the help you quiet professionals give out. Thank you for the help you've given and for the help in the future.
