Just thinking back on Longrange's post. Yes we did have fun. The best time of my young life. I thoroughly, totally did.
I was on several teams '69 through'72 mostly 224. I was on a S__M team and SGM "Boxi" B___N would not allow me to go on Snake Bite 2 with the guys I wsas assisged to. He said because I was in the Nuclear Surety program. who knows, Blitz

Was in 10th for 6 years as a spt guy. Went to Q in 93-94, went to Lewis 95-99 2/1 (Cold weather Bn, no fun trips to the Kingdom, plenty of trips to the land of expensive juicy girls), went to Oki 99-04 , went to SWC 04-08, and finally am a "Desert Eagle"over in 1/3 (definately no more trips to the Kingdom at Gvt expense).

I was on ODA 184 Halo from Aug 84 to Aug 85....short lived trip. Made to go back to Bragg..SWC duty.
My last formation was when CSM..D.T. shot the mans dog at Bn PT formation with a 9mm. I'm sure a few of you have heard of this one.

When 1st Group at Lewis first activated we didn't even have weapons for about 8 months. Several would bring there dog to work and hang out during the day. Nice labs and such.
Some way the CSM got bit while out running in the housing area. He brought his ill content back to the unit area and had that man bring in his dog. Chained it to a pole. CSM called the Bn to Attention for Pt..he then wheeled around ...pulled his 9mm and shot the dog..right in front of everybody. This whole time ranting about people bringing in there dogs in the unit area. Most that brought there dog was a Major and a Captain...
He was knocked back from a CSM to a SGM...oh boy..
That made me clear Lewis faster and get to Bragg....

He wound up at 1st SWTG(A) until Gen Barrato arrived as SWC CO and found out the CSM did not retire as stipulated.
That CSM attempted to send me to, then, Northern Yemen on a 11H E7 slotted position to teach TOW and Dragons. It was awkward as I was an 18Z MSG at the time and hardly knew how to spell TOW let alone Dragon. But I had the nerve to tell the truth to Gen Guest when asked a question. The answer rather pissed of the General and embarrassed the good SGM.
