I have. I'm kinda bad sometimes - Not necessarily proud of it. Just the way it is...

Sometimes the truth hurts so we don't say it. That's why humor is humor. It reveals something we know to be true - but, most people to keep up pretensions won't ever mention these unmentionables.

I'm Irish American - lots of drunk Irish folk. Is this a prejudice or is this real? It's real. It's embarrassing, it's hurtful, but it's true. Over time I've learned to laugh at those jokes; because I've learned to laugh at myself a bit.

Life's a bitch...Laughing at it can keep us sane.

With all do respect to BMT, that post was racist. Whether or not I have laughed at a racist joke is irrelevant here. I have enough class to keep it in hushed tones and behind closed doors, where it belongs.

There may be a Latino or African American 18x here, who has just decided to endeavor on a life of duty to his country. I would hate for that individual to be dismayed for even one moment do to someone’s idea of a "joke". That fact that it came from a QP will probably be particularly disheartening to that individual.

Political correctness is a scourge, I completely agree, it doesn't allow for honest dialogue on the issues eating away at our country. But Racism is that very disease that we should be discussing in an honest manner, but not by taking pot shots at particular ethnic groups.

People need to take a chill pill...Being so touchy? When I find those "easily offended" folks I've often found a true racist - JEREMIAH WRIGHT. Someone that can't laugh at himself is a person who hasn't ever honestly looked in the mirror and seen the big smudge of sh#t on his own chin. In my experience, the ones most offended by racist slights are usually the biggest racists themselves.

When I saw your comments I just had to check your age - You're the same age as my sons (as I surmised) - You've done so little living. As you get older you'll come down from your high horse - life isn't so pretty and neither are you. BMT may have been over "your line"... But, you saying -

What hogwash - You don't wonder. You have all the answers - You "know" they get offended. Do they really? You know that? You're naive...And, you're practicing a very insidious form of racism. How? because you think these people feel so bad about their own cultural problems - that they will pout about such horrible jokes - You assume weakness and fragile lives that can't bear someone making light of a real situation. Don't you know the mature and the strong ones don't cry about their families and their peers weaknesses - they know where they come from folks are "doing and selling dope" and decide to be the exception - To be great. You so underestimate these people. When you cry racist gues what...You would have them stay weak. People would get offended are wussies - Latino, Black, Irish, Jew - whatever. We're born into this world with problems - point it out and I'll agree.

Take it from a white black father - Just shut-up - My son doesn't need to be protected from knowing that many, many blacks turn to crime - And, that it is so horrible that it is a joke among people - Folks are so starved for honesty that they turn to joking. The joke isn't on blacks and Latinos - It's on the dishonesty. Will my son be offended - NO WAY - His skin is thick and real. I expect it will drive him to make sure that garbage never gets its way with him.

Being over the line or near the line is what blogs are all about. We say what we can't say in front of most folks. It's called reality and its called honesty.
