Eagle5US thanks for the response. Currently our medics are deployed in areas that have spotty internet and cell connections when on base, and only HF or SATCOM once they leave the wire. In addition to EM taskings, they are now picking up sick call/urgent care type duties as well. We have written protocols and formularies for both types of practice, the EM based on TCCC and the urgent care based on ATP guidelines.
Honestly we "don't know what we don't know" right now as far as needs. I've not found a lot out there but I know the newer 18Ds were issued a PDF type device and the army is moving toward the Tempus IC.
Am thinking audio, satcom and wireless, secure (in relations to HIPAA not SF 1 time pad level secure).
