Why does it take so many decades to get recognition? Is it because so much of SF work was classified for so long?
Surely the powers that be would know what a satisfying morale booster and sense of achievement, and acceptance and a recignition of honor and thanks would be a necessary receipt for such heroic
actions?
Simple psychology.
Until joining this site I never realized how politics can intefere with the act of war.
