God Bless these fallen heroes from battlefields so far removed, yet in some ways, so very close, to today.
Thank God for officers such as Freeman, Crandall, Moore, and Herren who do not forget those who followed them, fought with them, and in some cases, died under their command.
Keep Earnie Savage in your heart, not only for his bravery that long day, but for staying true to his brother in arms.
