I guess there are different perspectives on this from everyone. I had a jacked up company commander in A 1-10 that used the phrase "message to Garcia" to quell any questioning of his incompetence or his inabillity of listening to reality on some of the asinine ideas he dreamt up. Yeah, the same guy who threw a round in the clearing barrel in front of the Tuzla DFAC.

So when I hear the "message to Garcia" analogy, I cringe.
