Hon. Spencer was fired for being a dumb ass. This example of dumb-assery is not his first. The other was his statements about the USS Ford readiness and FMC date. Going on record with "guarantees"? Lol.
Secretary Esper may have fired Spencer because he was legitimately pissed and saw this as the last straw.... or, he might have fired him because he knew that his boss was pissed and didn't want to be fired as well.
