Always wanted to have the mustache he had in Easy Rider. I watched Apocalypse Now in German. If you thought his dialog was fast in English, auf Duetsch was like copying morse two speeds too fast. He was brilliant in that movie. He was a convincing colonel in that Pentagon/SOCOM TV show he was in a couple of years ago.

He was a work in progress. He overcame a great deal and turned out to be one heck of a guy. Actor, director, artist. Yep - I respect a man who hits huge problems in his life, overcomes and comes out better on the other end. Pretty inspiring.
