AOC and “the squad’s” politics are now moderate Democrat positions. Previously centrist ideology is now considered far right and conservatives are extreme right wingers. Sanders used to be too extreme yet the party has swung so far left, there is zero difference between Sanders or Biden.
The problem with the NEO-Marxist left, in my opinion, is they are so far left that they actually advocate for ultra-right wing goals:
group ideology
anti-democratization
State control of economic sectors
Some leaders actually believe this crap.
