Guerrilla Hospitals

Hi, I just finished a book for the JSOU (Jt. Spec. Ops. Univ.) on Med Support to UW. Am looking now to collect all the published unclass stuff on guerrilla/clandestine hospitals. We used to have all this in the doctrine but it has slipped away over the years. I'm a retired 18D/18A. Really like to find a SOP on setting up a G hospital. Bet it is out there somewhere! Thanks

Great hearing from you!

I wrote a lesson plan for USAIMA entitled "Medical Aspects of Guerrilla Warfare" that I presented to NATO officers in 1974 when I was at the Medical Branch of JFKSWCS. This was based upon my experiences in Cambodia (1972). That should be buried in archives somewhere.

BTW, had a great dinner with Carmona in Pburgh a few weeks ago. We talked about you so if your ears were burning, that's why. :D

Be well and be safe Brother!

Rocky, I just remembered, I was visiting with David Grange last month and he was showing me a portable "pop-up" aid station that he has. Really cool too. Wish I had one of those back in the day. You probably have comms with him, but if not PM me and I will send.

Good to see hangin' out with the cool guys - Rocky.

I'll have a look around my garage and see if I have any of that kind of stuff. I'm sure I have something of importance relating to "how to" establish a medical clinic in denied areas.

Might be a week or two but I'll look.

Doc Farr... Then CPT Farr was the head of 300-F-1 when I went through the second 18D reclass. The entire reclass group (mixed SF Groups) were already tabbed and we still lost over 1/3 of the class academically at Ft Sam.

Doc, I will read your book just to see how much I remember.

Oh... by the way, I'll never forget the patient history that involved black licorice... ever. Horses, not zebras. Everything a patient presents is not always terminal. Ask the right questions.

DOL, Sir.

Me too! Grange was the Regt Cdr when I was in Batt, Rocky the USASOC Surg while I was in 7th (we always had access to him) and I met Carmona at 2003 SFA Meeting in Carlisle, PA.

Proud to have been around them, one and all!
