Singapore in Beijing's crosshair

While Phillipines and Malaysia are aligning more towards China, Singapore is going towards the US. What's next? As goes Indonesia, so does SEA?

Beijing sent a loud and clear message through the seizure

Malaysia is alligning itself towards China because it has big financial problems within and are depending on Chinese money to bail them out.

The country is in a major economic slump since 2015 and the introduction of the ill times 6% GST made things a lot worse.

Malaysia say's it agree's with it's ASEAN partners that China is encroaching on it's territory in the SC Sea but...what can Malaysia do in all honesty.

It does not have the capability to take on the Chinese, economically nor as a military power.

And if China wanted to bury the Malaysian economy, it could do it within 30 day's.

China has been going around being the good "neighbour" for a while now by offering soft loans/long term loans/joint infrastructure development deals from their banks to South East nations who are keen to develop and create jobs.

The Philippines is one country that is desperate for someone or a host of investors to come in and help re-build it's infrastructure and to help bring both tourist in to the country and to help the country create a sustainable small medium industry and to develop a long term heavy industry given the abundent availability of man power.
