Free Pet Turtle??

Anyone looking for a little pet for their kids?
A friend has this baby Gator Snapper turtle.
His wife put her foot down because they have several.

He will include bedding and cage, finger food extra.

I expect that such will be thrown out of home once it gets up to 25 pounds and bites young attendant on finger and never lets go:D
Until it rains of course, or was that thunder? There used to be a wives tale about that. I used to agitate the larger versions of those as a kid and they would definitely take hold of a stick and not let go.

My dad always said it wouldn't let go until thundered. He's an old Missouri boy, so I take that as gospel truth. :D

Coming home from Ft. Campbell on the back roads one day in a Volkswagon bug my buddy and I came across a pretty good sized one in the middle of the road. He wanted to make soup. He had a ball peen hammer and got close enough to kill it and put it in the trunk. He dropped me off and when he got home popped the trunk and much to his surprise found he had only stunned it, that was one P.O.'d turtle. He eventually made that soup.

Boy, do I feel dumb. I thought this thread was about Mitch McConnell.

LOL ! When I read your comment I thought of General Meade, his men referred to their dowdy looking commander as a “a damned old goggle-eyed snapping turtle,” or “Snapping Turtle” for short.
