REst in PEace Sir...
My ex-father in law used to tell me stories of the BDM. He was a survivor also. I sat amazed an speechless as he told his stories to me. His sons and daughters used to ask me what we were talking about...I just told them "old war stories." He never related anything to them about Bataan...I felt proud yet humbled that he would tell me of his past. |
To be a survivor of Bataan is one thing but you set the bar a considerably higher.
:lifter Thank you for your service before, during and after Bataan. Rest in Peace Albert Brown. |
RIP Dr Brown, Vaya con Dios..

RIP, Doc.
This is a very interesting web-site based on a history project by a sixth grade class to research a Japanese prison camp (Fukuoka 17-Omuta) and what they found out about the camp, the POWs (many of them defenders of Corregidor and survivors of the Bataan march), and the defense of Corregidor. http://www.lindavdahl.com/index.html Click on the Conventions and Reunions link and then on the American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor Convention Washington DC April 2007 for a pic of Doc Brown when he was a spry looking 101 years old. Some truly amazing stories. Richard |
