Just watched a pre-screening of the movie "12 Strong" (original Horse Soldiers) here in Afghanistan. Its about ODA 595 initial push into Afghanistan and using horses to fight the Taliban. Entertaining movie but I noticed no Team Sergeant. Its been a long 16 years.

They never depict the single guys.

SGM: We’re going to WAR!

Single SF guy: Ready!

Should show the single SF guy saying goodbye to a fridge full of beer, steaks and pizza, locking his gun-safe then placing a tarp over his favorite truck.

Bwahahahahahaha

I don't know why that's so hilarious, but too true!

Maybe I can relate as I fondled the OBR, PMPDW, tacA1, and the rest of the family before saying goodbye n locked them away

Probably didn't want to deal with the gratuitous sex Montage of all the chicks who fulfilled their patritic duty insuring that the boy next door knew what he was fighting for.

The fridge can run off the 5kw generator the SGM brought to run the 50 cup coffee pot.

Damn SGM's........ first time I met one face to face was when I was pulling "battalion" CQ duty. (1-505)

I was a CPL runner for a SSG. Next morning I was told "to make coffee". I didn't drink coffee, so I told the SSG that worked at battalion to call a spoon to make coffee. He didn't like that. So he made the coffee himself. When SGM arrived he called me into his office and said: "Most drink coffee so we ask our CQ's to make it for themselves and us........" I said "Roger CSM, understand"

I made coffee for them next time. No one wants a pissed off SGM at 0430. ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong but the director chose a SEAL or Marine as the combat advisor instead of the guy who wrote the book an actual GB who was on the team...
