Tiger Patch Shop Okinawa
1 Attachment(s)
I was in the new shop on BC Street the other day and asked the lady if she had any old Army patches. She asked a few of the employees and went to the back of the store and brought out a small size old wooden box that was Army stuff pretty much from years past. I bought all of the patches that I thought might be of interest. I am posting a picture of 3 unit patches. One is a MACV one but looks like maybe a 1st Group blend...not sure. The other 2 are unknown to me. Can anyone identify them for me. I would appreciate it.

How about filling out your profile and posting an intro in the proper place first as outlined in your welcome email.........
We have rules for all. |
I will do that...sorry about that.
|
Top one looks like the 82nd Recondo school patch.
|
Thanks on the identy of the 82nd Recondo Patch. :)
|
Your welcome if they have another, and you are over there I'd be interested in it
|
I do have 5 extra ones. I will let them go for 30.00 apiece.

Bottom left looks like a variation of a Military Assistance Command Vietnam (MAC V) subdued patch.

I agree with you. I have never seen one like this though....has me stumped.

You are not to post again until the admins review your blatant bait and switch.
|
I have no idea what you are referring to? Item was identified and said person requested to aquire one. If I did wrong and you want to remove me for this then go ahead. Mystery to me....

Well I asked for it but, 30.00 on a 3.00 patch and one that is actually fairly easy to get...not going to happen. I hope that didn't cause your trouble here.
|
I can't discuss until moderator reviews....no problem.

I'm not sure what part of "Don't post again" you didn't get.
Allow me to repeat it for you... DON'T POST AGAIN Your "go button" will come in the form of a private message and that moderator will put out that you are cleared to re-engage. Your lack of response to this post is the only acceptable one. |
I have known chisumr for 20 years, he is a close personal friend of dozens of QPs from Okinawa out of 1/1.
I don't see the "bait and switch" that is alluded to here. He went into a sew shop, the gals working in there had some old patches in a box. He paid for the patches (has anybody asked what he had to pay for the patches yet?) and then came on here to see if some of them could be identified. Regardless of whether you want to pay 30.00 for a 3.00 patch, without knowing the cost basis for the OP in a sew shop on BC street in Okinawa for Vietnam-era patches (what did he have to pay for the patches), then it seems to me that this is a tempest in a teapot. OP was asked if he had any extra, he said yes and named a price. If you don't like the price then don't buy it. But don't impugn the reputation of someone that I have personally known for more than 20 years. |
