westboro baptist clowns plan to protest SGT New's funeral

I am hoping some of the guys on here have friends in Tennessee, because as of right now, the westboro baptist church is planning to protest Sgt New's funeral on Saturday. Here is the information for the funeral home and the service time.

Funeral Service
Saturday, August 10, 2013
2:00p.m.
Faith Baptist Church
3755 North Germantown Road
Bartlett, TN 38133
901-386-4785

Visitation
Saturday, August 10, 2013
11:00a.m. - 2:00p.m.
Faith Baptist Church
3755 North Germantown Rd.
Bartlett, TN 38133
901-386-4785

Please pass this information to anyone you know that may be able to help stop this from happening. I appreciate your help and I'm sure his family would as well. I personally don't know any biker clubs in that area to help, but there are some Patriot Riders in that area I heard about. I just hope enough people are rallied in time to block them from being able to protest.

Below is a link to the facebook post regarding the plan to protest.

Several friends and I are standing in his flag line and will remain there as long as we are needed. The last I heard, we have people coming in from AR, MO, MS and AL to stand with us and for him.

Glad to hear that brother! I appreciate the good news because we were ridiculously upset over here when we heard about it. Thanks for your help and I'll pass your message to my friends over here.

I had already planned on being there, but when the word about Westboro started heating up, it really pissed me off. On a side note, the local news posted some photos a couple days ago for his final flight home.

The gallery is here.

With idiots like the westboro folks in the world I just don't know what to say to them.
Certainly they have their first amendment rights that folks died fighting for but I'm certain they'll be judged according to how they use it. I trust the Patriot Guard and the two state captains that are handling this to be there.

It sounds like the westboro loons publish that they'll be at every funeral they hear about and then often times no-show...hopefully it's a trend they keep up.

Personally, I hope to have lived a life the likes of which the Westboro Baptist Church would want to protest.

I thank God daily for men and women like Sgt New. It angers me that the very freedoms our military personnel have fought and died for are used and abused this way by the WBC.

Thank you to those safeguarding his way to his resting place. WBC is a bunch of misguided idiots that can suck it.

Pardon me for being ignorant on this issue; but why are these people being obnoxious at soldiers' funerals? What's the point? Have they no respect for those who have served our country honorably? I don't understand...

Fred Phelps and his merry band of idiots are well versed in civil protests, and they go to great lengths not to break the law. His purpose, as an attorney, is to incite others into breaking the law in order to allow the WBC to sue them. He is a scumbag lawyer whose cult violates the teachings of the one who they claim they worship.

Nevertheless, out of something bad (Fred Phelps & WBC), brought out something very good, the Patriot Guard Riders: :lifter

I just wanted to say thank you to the Patriot Guard Riders and everyone else who showed up to support my friend's family at his funeral. Me and my fellow operators over here in Afghanistan are thankful for you guys and we really appreciate what y'all do. I saw the pictures posted from the funeral and it was definitely a sigh of relief for us over here. Thanks again!

We were pretty busy yesterday, but I snapped a few photos when I could. Stephen was represented well, to say it mildly. Aside from the bikers, there were LEO's, firemen and folks from small children to the elderly standing in his flag line. The town really came out and showed some incredible support for him and his family. When assembled for the briefing, we were asked to raise our hands if we weren't from Memphis. You should've seen how many hands went up. People came from all over. I saw plates from Illinois to Texas to Florida and states in between.
