I had to go down to our enclosure for something,,
At the bottom of the stairs I spotted a new buddy sitting in the grass.. Very late for such a little one. The vertical fence slats are 6 inch wide.. And that's the grass,, lawn grass,, he's hiding in.. I'm guessing around 10 inch tall, at the shoulder.. He be very very small.. Here are a couple pictures,, I also added one of the 8 point bucks,, he's about 60-70 lbs & 36 inches at the shoulder.. |
Cute little critter!

We do encourage fair trade free range organic recycling.. All our vegetable and bread discards are tossed in the yard for trade.. In return we are given several hundred pounds of semi-processed pellets,, organic fertilizer.. Seems like a deal to me?? Here is another fawn from 2005,, notice the buttons,, and what I think is him, when he show up at my BD party last yr, as a 7 point. The young lady in the pic is 5' 5". They are small... |

Just some of the creatures that are forgotten when a Hurricane sweeps through the Keys. |
JJ, you better be careful when you go outside at night. Those deer may attract a big snake. :D

When I lived in South Florida the biggest problem we had was the Coral snake...... A lot of kids and old people were bit, they have to chew at least several seconds in order to harm you.... They are small as hell and look like a multi-colored bracelet at first glance and that's the attraction that gets people to try and pick them up..........:boohoo
