Mad Max Scenario: Cape Town Will Run Out Of Water In Just 90 Days

"Cape Town, South Africa is in crisis mode right out of a Mad Max movie. Given current water consumption, the city has approximately 90 days until it runs out of water.

The city recently pushed forward what they call Day Zero, where the city will be forced to shut off water supplies to all but essential consumers, such as hospitals. This would mark the first major city in the world to run out of water, a result of a prolonged 3-year drought...."

3 year drought is causing the water reservoir to go dry.

I did some reading about the Cape Town Gov........ total incompetence.

With 90 days or less to mass riots I think I'd be looking for another place to live.

So Cape Town's government plan was to do nothing and hoped it rained, instead of figuring out some time in the last 3 years how to make the water surrounding them on 3 sides potable.

...access to water and sanitation is a basic human right and it has been since 28 July 2010 with the passage of UN Resolution 64/292

This MUST be fake news since the United Nations General Assembly has explicitly recognized the human right to water and sanitation.


So the real question is, who are we going to blame for this glaring violation of human rights, granted in writing by the UN General Assembly?

Cape Town is run by the opposition Democratic Alliance while the central government, who is responsible for the provision of water is run by the Communist led ANC.
Despite pleas and warnings over the years, central government has done nothing to build new dams or provide pipelines from less arid areas.
They hope that by their neglect, that the opposition will be shown up as useless.
Only in Africa are voters likely to believe their saintly ANC instead of the evidence of their own eyes.

We know who the "responsible" parties are, we have our own morons here called the DNC, just like your ANC......... going to be an interesting few months. ;)

It is interesting that the Tourism Board is completely in denial of this. My bro just had a vacation in Cape Town last week with his family, and besides a wildfire that was put out in the residential area they were in , not a peep about this...I asked.

They flew in from Egypt, but evidently there were a lot of foreigners/ ex- pats that vacation there. Who knew???:munchin:rolleyes:
