Summary
John Crown believed that his Special Forces training and missions were now only distant memories. But when his pregnant wife is killed “accidentally” by cold-blooded, professional car thieves and racketeers, something else dies too: John’s new life as a husband, soon-to-be father, and successful software engineer in Atlanta, Georgia.
To track down his wife’s unknown killers, John sets a series of ingenious–and deadly–traps for his unwitting, criminal prey. John soon becomes the underworld’s worst nightmare: a Special Forces-trained vigilante obeying no law except the one that will bring him peace–the law of revenge. What he doesn’t know is that some of his prey welcome the challenge, anxious and willing to play his deadly game–to win.
The R-complex is a fast-paced action adventure novel about organized crime, drugs cartels, terrorists groups, revenge killings, brutal murders, improvised demolitions, a man who’s the ultimate killing machine, a female assassin, and a Special Forces A Team infiltrating Colombia, South America, to bring two villains to justice recently referred to in the news as The Salvador Option.

Disclaimer by COL (Ret) Tom Davis: I wrote and published The R-complex

Check out this Action Adventure Novel that has a SOF twist to it at my web site http://www.oldmp.com/r-complex I tried to ensure that it is technically and tactically correct and that individuals, weapon systems, improvised explosives, and equipment did not exceed actual capabilities. While the reader is required to suspend reality on occasions, I tried not to abuse this. You can read the first 4 chapters using your Adobe Reader. Favorable comments are welcome. Unfavorable comments can be kept to yourself:-) COL (Ret) Tom Davis

Since he won't do it, I'll brag for him. UWO helped mentor me along the way to publishing GET SELECTED and getting it into clothing sales stores.

He's the author of many of the books you'll see in clothing sales including "The Patrol Order" and the Military Clip Art CDS.

If you're looking for a military thriller, you'll likely enjoy The R-Complex...

I finished the R-Complex this morning. It has an amazing way of keeping your heart in the game throughout, without ever appearing to be written solely for the purpose of keeping the reader suspended. It is straightforward, non-PC and genuine.

While it was good from beginning till end, with a core that will not leave you unmoved, you notice how details in the writing style changes a little bit towards the middle of the book. It becomes better. It takes on a form of active story telling, all the more engaging as it tries not to be either a simple recounting of events, nor getting carried away in an overly romantic persona. The people remain (?) human.

I think the COL walks a fine line in expressing this book, that if it had tended more in any direction, it might have had a bad spot. With continued perfection I'd gladly read the next one he cares to release, can't go wrong.

And I treasure your signature, COL Davis. I will do my best to live up to it.
