I received word last week that my 368 went through, the recruiter notified my yesterday. My first 25 meter target has been knocked out, and my second will be taken out tomorrow.... MEPS. As I said in my Introduction post, I'm going to sign on as an 11B if I qualify and then see where I can go from there.

Thanks for all the advice I have recieved off this forum.

As a recently retired guy, I wish I was on your end of the journey, at the start looking down the road, not at the destination looking back...you'll have a great time and a world of experiences.

Good Luck and remember, sometimes you have to keep marching or die...or in simpler terms...never quit!

I just returned home from MEPS last night with great news. I leave for Infantry training at Ft. Benn within a month. I believe I also felt like a kid in a candy store as I walked out with my orders in my hand :D .

I appreciate your 20 or more years of service. I can only begin to imagine some of the trials youve face along the way, and I'm glad you've made it! Thank you for everything you've done.

That goes for everyone that has ever put on the uniform. You've all done a brave thing. Be safe and thanks once again :)

Oh, by the way Mr. Martin, my copy of "Get Select For Special Forces" arrived in the mail yesterday. I just skimmed through the first few pages and I can already see the loads of information in there that will help someone be prepared for SFAS. Thanks for your time and wisdom.

Best of luck young man.

Wish I was young enough to hit it again.

Some of you are working to raise some of us geezer's faith in today's youth.

After a short tour in Iraq with the 101st, I'm back home now and with the help of an SF recruiter, I'm putting in my packet for SFAS.

This website has been a tremendous help to me, and I'm positive it will continue to be for everyone whether they're just curious about SF, interested in joining, or currently serving.

Thanks once again for your services and sacrifices.
