WASHINGTON, D.C. – A White House source stated that Congress is considering awarding Vice-President Dick Cheney the Medal of Freedom, the national highest civilian commendation, for his act of bravery in shooting an attorney.

The source was quoted to say "All Americans have wanted to shoot a lawyer at one time or another and Cheney actually had the balls to do it".

In a related story, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, which issues hunting licenses, said that it will start requiring hunters, wishing to bag a lawyer, to have the new "Lawyers Stamp" on their hunting license. Currently Texas hunters are required to carry stamps for hunting birds, deer, and bear, at a cost of $7 annually. The new "Lawyers Stamp" will cost $100, but open season will be all year long.

The department further stated that although the "Lawyers Stamp" comes at hefty price, sales have been brisk and it is believed it will generate annual revenues in excess of $3 billion dollars the first year. Other states are considering similar hunting license stamps.

As someone who worked in the legal field for 9 years, I can honestly say.........

Along those lines, someone sent me an ammunition selection chart for Attorney Shotgun Season:

1. Transaction, Estate/Probate, Bankruptcy and Subrogation Lawyers: #6 or #4. Anything larger ruins what little meat there is. Tends to be tender, and often tastey with a little garlic salt.

2. Personal Injury Lawyers: 00' Buckshot, preferably 3 1/2" Shell. You should avoid eating them, they taste terrible.

3. Any Attorney who advertises in the Penny Saver, Buy & Sell, or matchbook covers: Slugs or Pumpkin Ball (Edit to add) You might also consider using Wooden Projectiles, Silver Laced Cast Slugs, or Holy Water. Avoid eating, the meat is often gamey and stringy. Very difficult to find during the day. Do not let them injure you, or you will become one yourself!

4. Divorce Attorneys: Harpoons

5. Criminal Defense Attorneys: Don't bother, they can't be killed.

Allowable game calls:

A. Ambulance Siren
B. A cry of "I seem to have slipped in this puddle and broken my arm!"
C. Yelling "Who's the party of the second part?"
D. Screaming "You can't fire me!"
---------------------------

Hey, I didn't write it! :D
